Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I’m already thinking about what to wear! Thanksgiving style is a real thing, ya’ll. We have to dress to impress and to hide that food baby!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year for many different reasons, but for the sake of this post, I will try to limit those to five.
- The best part of Thanksgiving is seeing all of my family! We cram forty people into my parents’ house and its the only time of year I get to see my cousins, aunts, and uncles from out of town. Every year there seems to be a new baby that I get to hold, which I love.
- Another reason why I love this holiday is because of the amazing food! It is the only time of year that is socially acceptable to stuff yourself, go back for seconds, take a nap, and make another plate when you wake up!
- Black Friday is a tradition that runs deep in my family. For decades we have been waking up at the crack of dawn to go shopping all day. It is something that all generations can do together. At the end of the day, we all come back to my parents’ house and have a show-and-tell. It’s always great to see who got the best bargains of the day!
- Thanksgiving style cannot be ignored. I always love being comfy, but it is important to leave plenty of room for food! I love these high waisted jeans, to help suck it all in, paired with this bell sleeved sweater. I love the way this velvet, burgundy choker and handbag compliment this outfit. I have been eying these ankle boots as well and they come in burgundy too!
- I have to add “friend reunions” to the list. Thanksgiving is the one time of year that all of my friends come in town at the same time! Out of my five closest friends, only two of them live in Kansas City. I love this time of year because it means we all get to be together at the same time!
I would love to hear all of your Thanksgiving style ideas and reasons why you like Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Heather
