I am so blessed to live in a city where there are so many great local boutiques! Some benefits of shopping local boutiques are: they tend to have more unique items that aren’t in the big name stores, many of the items come at a better price, and there is a limited stock meaning that you won’t show up to a party wearing the same thing as another guest. An added bonus is helping out local business owners by shopping local. I wanted to share some of my favorite local spots to shop for clothes here in my home town of Kansas City!

KINDRED

As many of you have seen in previous posts, I love shopping at Kindred. Kindred is a collective boutique which means you are able to shop multiple different boutiques all under one roof. They have clothing, apothecary, gifts, shoes, and even a vintage section. It is a one-stop shop for any of your shopping needs. Kindred is located at Oak Park Mall right outside of Nordstrom. 11133 W 95th Street, Overland Park, KS.

ADDIE ROSE + SHOP SCOOBIE

The owners of Addie Rose and Shop Scoobie are cousins and recently joined forces and share the same space now! They are the coolest chicks and they both have the BEST taste. They have the greatest stuff in their stores at such an affordable price point! They are located at 4856 W. 135th Street, Leawood, KS. You can also purchase Shop Scoobie items at Kindred, Garment District downtown, and she also does pop-up’s around town!

LADY BYE KC

If you have been following me for a while then you know how much I love this store! So many of my friends have thanked me for introducing them to this place. I stumbled upon this store on their opening day. I happened to be meeting my wedding photographer at the Roasterie and I had some extra time to kill so, obviously, I went shopping! The decor in the store is so light, airy, chic and feminine, matching the vibe of all of the pieces in the store. The staff members are so helpful and great, I couldn’t recommend this store more. Lady Bye is located at 6425 Brookside Plaza, Kansas City, MO.

MODERN SOCIETY

I first visited this store a few weeks ago and I plan to return often. This is where I purchased this amazing two piece outfit! The flagship store is located in Springfield, MO and recently opened in Leawood at Town Center Plaza.  This store is such a refreshing surprise because most of the stores at Town Center are corporate, chain stores. They house both Men and Womens merchandise, so bring your man in and he can shop while you do! They also have and shoes, handbags and accessories!  They are located at 5040 W 119th St, Leawood, KS.
