Now that its finally spring and we have had a few warmer days sprinkled in, I have been on the hunt for fresh new wardrobe pieces to freshen up my spring wardrobe. This year the two items I have been searching for were a basic white blouse and a maxi dress. In my opinion, these two things are essential to every spring wardrobe as they are both pieces that can be styled so many different ways.  Each are perfect for layering which is important with chilly spring nights and crisp spring mornings. I was so excited to have the opportunity to pair up with Dress Up Boutique to find the perfect white spring blouse and maxi dress.

WHITE BLOUSE

I was so excited when I found this swiss dot blouse. The fabric is so light and airy, and it is such a flattering length. I love the swiss dot pattern and the ruffle hem adds the perfect amount of feminine flair to this more than basic white blouse. What I love the most about it is its versatility, but also that it is beautiful enough to stand on its own.

I decided to pair it with white jeans and a light straw mules, but it would look great with any color denim or front tucked to a pair of denim shorts. It would also be great paired with a leather, suede, or denim jacket. It could also make a super cute pool or beach cover up with a straw hat! The best part is its only $35!

MAXI DRESS

I am a sucker for smocked fabric so I instantly fell in love with this maxi dress. The smocking makes for such a flattering fit at the bust and the tie straps make it adjustable for anyone. Maxi dresses aren’t just beautiful but they are very functional. They can be dressed up or dressed down and worn practically year round. I have been loving this rust color lately and I think it give the perfect warmth and sort of a vacation-ey vibe.

My favorite way to style a maxi is with a denim jacket and a pair of wedges. I threw a straw bag on with it to compliment the beach pattern of the dress. When I wear it i instantly feel transported some place warm and I can’t wait to wear it this spring and into summer.
