Even though it may not feel like it outside, spring is just around the corner! Is your wardrobe ready? As we gear up for spring I have been trying to get a lot of shopping out of the way. I have also been starting to look for items to pack for my upcoming bachelorette party and my honeymoon trips. I knew that Kindred would be the place to go for all of my spring needs. I love that they have so many different boutiques all under the same roof so that I don’t have to go to different places. I found some themes with some items that I tried on and thought I would share with you. Here are five key pieces for spring this year, so get your shopping lists ready!
1. Mustard Yellow:
This is not your average yellow. I usually need some persuasion when it comes to wearing bright colors, especially with my fair skin and blonde hair. When I put this dress on I felt, quite literally, like a ray of sunshine. I usually display my boldness in terms of silhouette or dramatic details, but this color is all you need as far as I am concerned to make a statement. There is something so bright and cheery about it!
2. Wrap Dress:
Okay, okay so this is not a new trend, but really more of a wardrobe stop at this point. Wrap dresses are so classic and will never go out of style. They are flattering on all body types and, depending on how they are styled, can be made appropriate for any occasion! One of my favorite ways to wear a wrap dress is with sneakers and a denim jacket. It would also look great under a leather jacket and heels for a dressier event. A longer maxi wrap dress would also be stunning if you are not into the shorter length.
3. Jogger Pants:
We saw this trend in 2017, and I don’t see this trend going anywhere in 2018. I am obsessed with joggers to say the least. At first I only owned the kind of joggers that you wear to the gym, which are basically just sweat pants. I loved the last so much so started to branch out and play with the athleisure trend. Joggers can be elevated with a leather moto jacket and a scrappy heel or a printed tee and leopard slip-ons. There are endless possibilities when it comes to these pants!
4. Overalls:
This 90’s throw back is one trend that I adore! Overalls bring that “girl-next-door” vibe to any look so effortlessly. I love this skinny distressed pair so much. My favorite way to style them is with a fitted basic tee or an off the shoulder top and a casual pair of sneakers. It would also look great with a ball cap to wear to your favorite sporting event this spring. This overall trend is also super cute in the dress version, which is also available at Kindred.
5. Kimono Cardigan
I love these bad boys for their versatility. They add a bit of unexpected edge to a basic look. My favorite way to wear a kimono cardigan is with a mini dress or maxi dress, but love them equally with a pair of ripped denim and a basic tee. They also make a killer swimsuit cover up for spring break. I love the silky retro pattern to this one and it ties in font to add a feminine touch. Plus wearing one of these basically feels like leaving the house in your robe! Win, win!
I had so much fun shopping at Kindred for all my spring wardrobe needs. Plus how cute are these dressing room curtains? I just die. What are your thoughts on these spring trends? What are some of your favorite trends for spring this year?

Heather
