Now that summer is in full swing I am really looking forward to all of my summer vacations. This weekend I am heading to Chicago with a big group of my best friends! I am a huge lover of jeans which is why I am so excited to share with my experience with EUJEANCO! If you are like me, it is so hard to find the perfect pair of jeans to fit your body. I was so amazed at the selection of jeans that were sent to me! Three out of the five pairs of jeans sent to me fit perfectly. Then I just had to narrow down my favorite! But I will outline my favorites about each.
Boyfriend Jeans – I love the light colored denim for spring and I love the relaxed “boyfriend” fit to them. They also have distressed rips which made me fall in love even more. They were slightly high waisted and I liked they way they looked on my body.
Gray skinny jeans- These fit me like they were made for me! I love the slit in the knee and the released-hem. These were also super soft and stretchy which makes them comfortable to wear all day.
White Cropped Flares – These are so on trend right now. White denim is huge this spring and so are the raw hems. I love that these are just a bit cropped on me. They may be a bit longer for shorter gals because I am 6 feet tall. They are also so,so soft! These are the ones I decided to keep!

Did somebody say SALE? Lets be honest y’all, I was needing a bit of a pick-me-up this week and the LOFT 40% off site-wide Friends & Family SALE is just what the doctor ordered! Hallelujah! The timing couldn’t be more perfect for those of you that are looking for last minute easter dresses or just needing a few spring wardrobe items! Let me just tell you, their spring stuff is SO CUTE! Not to mention it is all nearly half of which is enough of a reason to at least get one or two (or 5) things! I am a huge fan of LOFT because I think their clothing is so practical and good for everyday wear for women of all ages. Their clothing also suits women of all different heights which is a huge bonus with me being six feet tall! Most of their items come in regular, petite, and tall sizes. Obviously I’m loving the tall stuff but some of you shorties out there might like to browse the petite merchandise! All of their clothing is really high quality and lasts a long time.
LOFT is one of my favorite places to shop with my mom because we can both shop for ourselves here. It is also dangerous because she always encourages me to buy things and gives me all these reasons why I NEED each item! We all know that the term “need” means different things to different people. She was the one that convinced me I “needed” this dress and I am so glad I listened to her! It is so flattering and flowy – something about it just makes me want to dance. I am also loving the blue and white stripes and the ruffle detail. Obviously you all know I am a huge fan of the off the shoulder trend and this only furthers that obsession. For size reference I am wearing an XS but mostly because of the waist!

It is hard to constantly worry about your appearance when you are always on the go, which is why I wanted to share my five favorite beauty products that I use everyday. These help keep me feeling fresh and confident even if I am not having the best day! I keep all of these products in my work bag or purse so that I always have them handy!
This is my absolute favorite dry shampoo! I have very thin hair and I need all the help with volume I can get. This is my little miracle in a bottle because not only does it smell amazing but it gives my hair just that little bit of lift that it needs. I use this in the morning, for a mid-day pick-me-up, or after work if I meet up with friends and need a little extra boost! I love this because it also extends the amount of time I can go between washing my hair.
I love this stuff so much! Working in a hospital exposes my skin to such dry air which makes my skin looking flat and dull. This spray gives my face the extra hydration that it needs and is so refreshing. It smells amazing too which is a bonus. I also use this to help set my make up to give it a bit more dewy look. This stuff has aloe vera and rosewater and it was a must have on vacation in Mexico for that tight, uncomfortable feeling after being in the sun all day! I also have been known to spray this stuff in my hair to give it a bit of a beachy, wavy texture!
I am addicted to this perfume! It is my absolute favorite scent and I carry this in every purse, clutch, bag that I own. This is Chloe’s signature scent and it is a light floral. It has hints of peony and rose which are my favorites! I love this perfume because you just need a little dab and you are all set!
This is my new favorite hand cream! I had this sent to me a few weeks ago and I am hooked! Because I work in a hospital and I am constantly in and out of patient’s rooms, I wash my hands hundreds of times every day. The alcohol sanitizer and antibacterial hand soap dries my skin out so bad! This is the only cream I have ever used that keeps my hands moisturized and doesn’t leave a nasty film! I also love this because it contains no paragons, silicones, or synthetic fragrances! It is a must have for people that work with their hands!
This is my go to shade of lipstick. It is my favorite “nude” shade and is perfect for everyday wear. It is very close to my natural lip color which I love, except it adds that extra bit of edge. This color is perfect for my light skin tone and does not wash me out!

Happy Friday! The weather has been so nice these past few days, which has me so excited to break out all my new spring clothes! Although the nice weather may be brief with expected rain this weekend, I decided to take advantage and share with you my most recent bargain – this striped peplum top. This top is a must have for spring and its only $17! It comes in two other really cute color options – a turquoise green and a blue floral print. This top runs a little big, so I would suggest ordering one size smaller.
I love the nautical vibe these stripes give. I feel like it just screams spring and makes me want to be on a boat! I think the peplum silhouette looks great with these Articles of Society white jeans, but I can’t wait to throw this on with some cut off shorts when it gets warmer! I think this top is so versatile and can be dressed up or down by switching up your shoes and accessories. I chose my go-to Sam Edelman lace-up’s to go with this look and a nude bag to match.
Can I just tell you how excited I am that the denim jacket trend has returned? I am a big fan of jackets and cardigans because I am always cold. I also think they can transform any outfit and take it to another level. This particular jacket is one I have owned for a few years and is from Forever 21. My favorite part about it is that I found it in my own closet!
Now if we can only make this nice weather last…but we all know that won’t happen here in Kansas City. One day feels like summer, the next is winter, and the rest are full of rain! I will take my sunny days when I can get them!
Hello everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I have written anything! Ever since we got back from Mexico we have been so busy. I have been wanting to write this post so badly so that I could share our experience for all of you that are curious or wanting a great place to visit! I have had a couple of weeks to reflect on this trip and I can tell you, honestly, it was the best vacation I have ever been on! I can’t wait to go back!
This was the first vacation together for my boyfriend and I, so we wanted to plan something really special. We looked at the Secrets resorts because they are adult only. It was so hard to narrow it down because all of them looked so nice! What first attracted us to Secrets Akumal was that there were many different restaurants, tons of activities to do, it was a newer resort, and it was easily accessible from the airport. It is located just between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum. Akumal Beach was rated one of the “Top 10 Beaches in Mexico” by Trip Advisor, and I can attest to this! The waters are crystal clear and the sand is soft and white. Akumal, by definition, means “place of the turtle,” and is a famous destination for snorkeling, where visitors can swim with endangered green sea turtles right in the bay!
From the moment we arrived, I felt like I was living someone else’s life. They greeted us with a glass of champagne and cool mango-infused towel. After checking in, the bellman escorted us to our room and gave us a short tour of the resort. Our room was amazing and we even had our own little swim up pool off of our back patio that was secluded by lots of plants.
One of my favorite things about this place was the food, because a girl’s gotta eat (and drink)! They have 6 restaurants, a buffet, a grill, and a cafe, plus room service. We didn’t have time to eat at all the restaurants but I loved everything I ate. We went to the buffet every morning for breakfast and I have never seen anything so extravagant. I ate tons of fresh fruit and their banana bread every morning. I had fish tacos or ceviche every day for lunch and we tried a new restaurant every night. For cocktails, there were 7 bars and lounges including a swing bar on the beach, a swim up bar in the pool, and my personal favorite – the coffee shop. Can you say spoiled?!
There was so much to do at this resort, but we never got bored of “just laying around.” There are three different pools, the beach, shopping, snorkeling, water cycling, yoga, beach volleyball, and water aerobics, just to name a few!
I fell head over heels for this place and I am counting down the days until we get to return to this amazing resort! It is my new favorite beach and I hope you all can see why! Comment with any questions and I would be happy to answer them!
I wanted to share my favorite sale items for this year’s Nordstrom Winter Sale. All of these items are under $50 and can be worn into spring and some of these can even be worn this summer! One of my favorite sale items is this gray short-sleeved v-neck by free people. I have this shirt in white and I wear it with absolutely everything. It is the perfect top to throw on with jeans or leggings and goes great under any cardigan or jacket. I also love this thermal top with the thumb holes. I have it in silver and it goes with so much and it is so soft. It comes in 9 different colors and it is light enough to wear this spring!
I love the color of this cold shoulder top. It also comes in gray and I think would look so cute with a jean skirt or cut offs this summer. Had to include these raw hem jeans and these light-wash destroyed jeans. You can’t go wrong with either and they are both under $50!
I also wanted to include all of these amazing dresses. I think this black floral print dress would be perfect for those spring and summer weddings. It falls right above the knee for the perfect mix of classy and sassy. I love this lace-up, blush dress that is cotton and ribbed. It is seriously so soft and I love the color. It can be paired with some block heels to dress up or a pair of flats for a more causal look.
I love the neckline on the pleated chiffon dress. This comes in black too. I think this dress is so chic and would be perfect to wear to a wedding.
I included some great sandals, but I am really loving these Treasure & Bond mules. They add a slight western flare but I think they would look so cute with cropped denim jeans or even shorts. I am loving the mule trend this year!

Tunics are one of my favorite looks for spring. I love how flowy this one is and I especially love the floral print. I find that as the seasons change, I am craving brighter colors and prints to add to my wardrobe. Being that I am six feet tall, I love that I can turn a short dress into a top and throw it over my favorite jeans.
My favorite way to style a tunic right now is tucking a piece or tying a knot over a pair of ripped jeans. You could even add a moto jacket or a felt hat for a little extra sass. As the weather warms up, these can be paired with a pair of cut off jean shorts and sandals! The versatility makes it perfect for transitioning to spring! I paired this outfit with ankle boots, but it would also look great with some heeled or flat sandals! Tunics are a bit too short for me to wear as a dress, but some of you more petite gals can pull this look off!
